Titan, Saturn's largest moon, is the only moon with a dense atmosphere — an orange hydrocarbon haze that hid its surface until spacecraft arrived. Voyager 1 gave up the rest of the Grand Tour for a close look in 1980, and Cassini–Huygens delivered the Huygens lander to its surface in 2005 — the first landing in the outer solar system — and later mapped lakes of liquid methane near its poles.
