Jupiter

Jupiter, the solar system's largest planet, is both a destination and a slingshot: its gravity has redirected nearly every mission to the outer solar system. Pioneer 10 made the first flyby in 1973, followed by Pioneer 11, then Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, whose cameras discovered Io's volcanoes and Jupiter's faint ring. Galileo became the first Jupiter orbiter in 1995 and found evidence for Europa's hidden ocean. Cassini–Huygens and New Horizons flew past for gravity assists, doing science on the way through.
